I Lurve… Oh, pretty much everyone…

28 February, 2008

So Linda over at sketched out gave me this, sweet right? You should go check out her site, she’s a hoot! Especially the turkey suicide attempt that she drew yesterday… That suicide note makes me giggle every time.

Now I guess the name of the game is to pass this along to all the sites I lurve… Only there are too many to name them all…

I love Ali over at Cheaper than Therapy, because she’s a total girly girl!

Also Romi over at Year of the Chick, because her stories are the best. I think it’s because she uses all the best euphemisms for sex, and naughty bits.

And Talea from No Really - It’s Just My Face, because no one rants like Talea rants…

Of course I couldn’t forget Wendy from Thoughts in My Pants, because she does a pretty good rant also, and no one I know knows more about comics and stuff than she does. Also her blogs name makes me giggle.

Stacey from Memoirs of Queen Bitch, because even though we’re not in the same town anymore I love that I still get to hear about what she’s up to, and who she hates, and how crappy her weekend has been, or how awesome that book she read was.

And I couldn’t forget Alice, over at Alice’s Wonderland because she makes even the little things funny, and worth writing and reading about. Go take a look, and remember that I told you so.

And now I will stop, because, come on! I couldn’t possibly lurve EVERYONE on my blogroll right!? Except I kinda do. They’re all pretty freaking awesome…

Even if I don’t get enough time to comment on all of their posts like I did when I was still in possession of my computer Marvin.

The best pumpkin and feta salad IN THE WORLD. Served with a lime milkshake.

21 September, 2007

Mwhahaha!

Alrighty, go grab yourself a selection of lettuce leaves from the supermarket, also chuck in some of those loose leaf spinach leaves too because they have an almighty amount of good things in them, plus they taste good with feta. While you’re in the vege section pick yourself up a wedge of pumpkin, and a nice big head of garlic.

Moving on to the rest of the supermarket find yourself the bulk bins and grab a small scoop of pumpkin seeds. Go search out a yummy looking bottle of sweet honey mustard salad spread. Eta does one I think. Your last stop will be the chillers where you will find a nice piece of feta cheese, a few slices of bacon and a lime milkshake.

When you get home wait impatiently till tea/lunch-ish time.

About half an hour before you want to eat cut the whole garlic in half, then place in a roasting dish in the oven.

Cut the pumpkin into 1 inch squares and toss with a little bit of oil - olive oil tastes the best - then drop into the roasting dish with the garlic.

Find a nice big salady type bowl and line it with a generous amount of  lettuce leaves. Set aside.

Cut your feta into 1cm squares. Set aside.

Trim most of the fat and rind off the bacon, and then dice the meat until its about an inch square. Pop it into a pan and fry it until its good and crispy. Drain it on a paper towel.

Because you are a natural time manager your pumpkin and garlic will now be ready. Pop the pumpkin in a bowl.

Squeeze the individual garlic cloves out of the roasted 1/2 garlic. Make sure you don’t get any of that papery skin in there because its not fun to eat. The garlic should be lovely and soft, and a nice yellow/browny colour, it will also be a little more oily than you’d expect.

Add the garlic, the bacon, a handful of pumpkin seeds, and the feta to the bowl and toss.

Drop the mixture into your pre-prepared salad bowl and drizzle with honey mustard.

Eat it quickly because the lettuce will start to wilt. And nobody likes a wilty lettuce.

Then drink the lime milkshake. Yum.

I found this at Strawberry Fare. (If a normal person was going to try re-create something from there it would be the banaffi pie. Not the salad. I’m a dork.)
